1. Get appropriate documentation
It’s important to gather the necessary documents before you scrap your vehicle. Different documents are essential, while others are more desirable. You’ll need to ensure you have proof of identification and address, such as a passport or driving license.
The vehicle registration document or V5C is the vehicle logbook this is the most important document needed for scrapping your car. It proves the car you are about to sell for scrap belongs to you and stops any unauthorised sales.
